Dhanbad, April 9: Dhanbad police arrested three cyber criminals from Munger district of Bihar for cheating retired general manager (GM) of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) of Rs 9.95 lakh.
The police official said the arrested criminals were identified as Gaurav Kumar (27) Aditya Prakash (25) and Gulshan Kumar (26) residents of Munger district of Bihar. All trio admitted to have their hands in cheating. The police also seized the mobile phone used in committing crime.
The special police squad recovered three mobile sets, two passbooks, three ATM cards and two credit cards.

The police official said the cyber frauds had on February 22, 2024, cheated Rs 9.95 lakh from Dhanbad Koyla Nagar resident Swarup Kumar Dutta, retired general manager of BCCL in name of online banking scheme. After being cheated the GM duly lodged an FIR in Saraidhela police station.
Dhanbad superintendent of police (rural) Kapil Choudhary constituted a special squad under Putki police station officer in-charge Manohar Karmali to probe the cheating case and arrest the frauds.
The police official said mobile numbers and bank record led them to Munger where all trio were arrested one after another.
First Gulshan Kumar was arrested from Kasim Bazar and on his revelation Gaurav Kumar and Aditya Kumar were also nabbed from Betban Bazar and Belan Bazaar respectively. All trio arrested youth were sent to jail.
