Dhanbad, March 9: The Dhanbad branch of East Central Railway Karmchari Union (ECRKU) felicitated 20 women employees of the mechanical department of the Dhanbad Rail Division for their outstanding performance today.

The felicitation function was organized at the Union’s Purana Station-based branch office.

Opportunity to display strength

ECRKU central organizing secretary Netaji Subhash felicitated the women and said they have proved that they do not lack working strength and want an opportunity to display it.

ECRKU spokesperson Nilkamal Khawas said that since Divisional Rail’s management organised the International Women’s Day (March 8) celebration yesterday and complimented them, the Union celebrated the programme today and honoured 20 women employees of the mechanical department.

Union leader Prasant Banerjee presided over while JK Saw conducted the function.

In-charge Dhanbad Depot Carries and Wagan Abhay Kumar Mehta, senior Section engineer Ram Jeevan Kumar, ST-SC Association leader Chandrashekhar Prasad, Viman Mandal, Surendra, Dilip, Rajesh Kumar Gope Dhurendra, Ajay, Izhar, Nilu, Mahua, Kalpna, Ramjeevan, Jasmin, Rina, Hemanti, Lata, Devmati, Chandni, Rekha, Roji, Madhu, Jyoti, Subhadra, Sabita, Kohli, Sanju, Nagendra and Devdeep were also present on occasion.
