Jamshedpur, March 22: On the occasion of World Poetry Day, the Society for Promotion of Art and Culture (SPARK) at Karim City College hosted ‘Bazm-e-Shayari,’ an evening celebrating the beauty of poetry.
The event showcased the poetic talents of students, who presented their self-authored poems and ghazals to esteemed guest poets.
Among the distinguished guests were English poet Dr Basudhara Rai, Hindi poet Dr Sandhya Singh, and Urdu poet Gauhar Aziz.
Dr Mohammad Moiz Ashraf warmly welcomed the guests on behalf of the organization, presenting them with tokens of appreciation.

The poetry presentation featured three categories: Hindi, English, and Urdu. Notable participants included Tania Parker, Sahdev Mahato, Saurabh Sinha, Huma Mehmood, Shiuli Palit, Shruti Chatterjee, Ayesha Firdaus, Safdar Haroon, and Saif Ali Ansari.
In his closing remarks, Principal Dr. Mohammad Reyaz commended the efforts of SPARK and its coordinator, Dr. SM Yahiya Ibrahim, emphasizing the significance of poetry in human life for its ability to provide happiness and illumination.
The event was skillfully conducted by Muskaan Kumari, with Sahdev Mahato delivering the vote of thanks. The program was graced by the presence of Dr. Iftikhar Nabi, Dr. Zaki Akhtar, Prof. Saket Kumar, and other esteemed faculty members.
