Jamshedpur, April 4: Kusum Kamani Auditorium was officially opened at Narbheram Hansraj English School in a ceremony graced by dignitaries and special guests.
Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President (Corporate Services) of Tata Steel Ltd, had the honour of inaugurating the auditorium, named after Late Kusum Kamani, a renowned entrepreneur and social worker.
1000 seater capacity
The innovative design of the auditorium envisioned as a Floating Auditorium, offers increased outdoor activity areas along with a 1000-seater capacity, with a total built-up area of 36500 sqft.
Constructed primarily with steel elements, totalling 550 tons, the building stands as a testament to sustainability, utilizing AAC blocks for infill partitions, recycled PET bottles for acoustic panels, and SPC flooring made from stone waste.

Auditorium inauguration celebrates tradition, excellence and cultural diversity
The inauguration ceremony commenced with a traditional lamp lighting and Shloka recitation, followed by an address from the architect, Nalin Goel.
Nakul Kamani, President of the school managing committee, delivered a motivational speech, underscoring the institution’s commitment to excellence and its rich legacy in education spanning 100 years.
Guest of Honour, Chanakya Chaudhary, praised the school’s dedication to quality standards, acknowledging Mr. Nakul Kamani’s leadership.
The event featured captivating performances, including a dance drama portraying the triumph of good over evil and showcasing diverse Indian cultural forms from across the country.
The Principal, Paramita Roy Chaudhury, conceptualized the program, with Tandrima Banerjee and Subhash Banerjee leading the team behind its execution.
