Dhanbad, March 23: A three-day leadership training programme for teachers of higher educational institutions concluded at IIT Indian School of Mines (ISM) Dhanbad on a high note.
Dr Pankaj K P Shreyaskar, Deputy Director General, Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, Government of India, was the chief speaker in the valedictory function.
Leadership excellence in academia
On the occasion, he shed light on the significance of cultivating leadership excellence in academia.
Prof Somnath Chattopadhyay and Prof Md Irfan, co-coordinator, were also present.
Prof Mrinalini Pandey, the program coordinator, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants, faculty members, and staff for their cooperation in making it successful throughout the program.

Teachers’ training was conducted under the Nurturing Future Leadership Program in which participants from various higher educational institutions, including Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Central Sanskrit University, Mahatma Gandhi Central University (MGCUB) Motihari and Central University of South Bihar and others attended.
Malviya Mission
Coordinator Prof Pandey said the programme aimed to develop leadership within higher educational institutions (HEIs). It is held under the Malviya Mission Teacher Training Programme (MMTTP),
“Their enthusiasm and passion were instrumental in fostering a leadership culture within the academic community,” said Prof Pandey. She added that the Nurturing Future Leadership Program’s impact extends far beyond the confines of this institution. Participants returned to their respective institutions empowered to effect positive change and foster a culture of excellence and innovation.
The program’s coordinator, Prof Md Irfan, said special mention was made to our resource persons, whose invaluable insights and guidance have enriched participants’ learning experience.
“The program not only equipped participants with essential leadership skills but has also instilled in them a sense of responsibility and purpose to lead with integrity and compassion,” further said Prof Irfan.
