Daltonganj, Jan 5: The labour room in the 100-bed new building on the Medinirai Medical College Hospital in Daltonganj premises has become functional.
Civil Surgeon Dr Anil Kumar said, “This new labour room saw a normal delivery on Thursday. It was a boy.”
“We would be moving in here in this new labour room fully from our old labour room in the coming few days, which is functional in the old wing of the hospital,” added the civil surgeon.
Room and space, when emptied following the shifting of the labour room from the old location to this new one, will be utilised for other medical facilities like the opening of the Flu clinic, etc, there, said the civil surgeon.
