Daltonganj, March 19: World TB Day is on March 24. The theme of the 2025 World TB Day is ‘Yes! We can End TB. Commit, Invest, Deliver.’

Palamu district TB officer Dr Anil Kumar Sriwastaw said there is going to be held a seminar on World TB Day in the conference hall of the Civil Surgeon cum chief medical officer Dr Anil Kumar on March 24 to mark the World TB Day.

Former regional deputy director of health services Dr R P Sinha will be the key speaker along with a battery of speakers who have worked on the elimination of TB.

The World TB Day seminar is of little over 2 hours here in Daltonganj, informed Dr Anil Kumar Sriwastaw who is determined to pronounce as many panchayats here in Palamu as TB free panchayat.

It should have been far more useful and encouraging if a TB Warrior/ Conqueror who had fought his own TB with great courage and trust had been included in the panel of speakers so that the TB Warrior or TB Conqueror could share his experiences and difficulties that he underwent during the course of the treatment. His words would be an honest comment on the campaign against TB.

Prime Minister’s TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan by 2025 is a war on TB which takes two lives every 5 minutes in India.

Palamu district TB officer Dr Anil Kumar Sriwastaw is confident that TB survivors and TB-affected persons will help create public awareness on how to fight TB.
