Dhanbad, May 16: The leaders of East Central Railway Karmchari Union (ECRKU) at a crucial annual meeting of Permanent Negotiating Machinery (PNM) with authorities of Dhanbad Rail Division put up burning issues of 22000 employees facing across the division.
Senior Divisional Personnel Officer Ajit Kumar and personnel officer RR Lakra presided over the meeting while ECRKU additional general secretary cum PNM in-charge Md Ziauddin led the employees’ side. The meeting was held at the divisional headquarters.
Giving this information, ECRKU media in-charge Nil Kamal Khawas said that PNM in-charge Md Ziauddin put up the issues seriously at the meeting and requested the rail administration to implement them on a priority basis.

Railway employees lack hospital facilities
The ECRKU pointed out that employees are facing a problem getting treatment at the Chopan station area.
It also demanded the deployment of doctors at Barkakana and Garhwa Road stations and an ambulance facility at Koderma station of the railway division.
Poor sanitation at railway stations
Md Ziauddin at the meeting also expressed concern over the poor sanitation system at all stations of the division and demanded improvement in it. He also asked for a boundary wall for the Kusund station RRI Building and the women’s washroom at the PWI office.
The ECRKU also demanded the installation of traction machines, ECG machines, and BP machines at railway hospitals and OT payment to observers.
ECRKU central committee assistant secretary OM Prakash, organizing secretary Netaji Subhash, Somen Dutta, officials of different branches including Sunil Singh, RN Choudhary, MP Mahto, PK Sinha, Rupesh Kumar, BK Saw, BK Dubey, IM Singh, RK Singh, BB Singh, Chandan Kumar Shukla, Ajit Kumar, UK Singh, SN Verma, Jitendra Sahu and Sweta Kumari were other members of the ECRKU delegation.
