Dhanbad, May 27: The body of a retired LIC employee, identified as Shubhendu Bhardwaj, was found in a closed room of his rented house in the Ajanta Para area under the Sadar police station on Monday.
Having found a bad smell coming out from the house, neighbours informed the police. Since the gate was locked from inside police broke it and found the mutilated body of Shubhendu Bhardwaj in the kitchen. Having seen the condition of the body, police suspect he would have died two to three days ago.
Shubhendu Bhardwaj has been living alone in a rented house for the last six years and his school teacher wife lives in Jamshedpur. After getting information from the police, she also reached along with her daughters.
The body was sent for post-mortem at Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital.
