Jamshedpur, April 9: The East Singhbhum district police seized Rs 11.16 lakhs from six bikers at a checking point in Jharkhand-Odisha border near Tiring on Tuesday.

The police seized the cash stuffed in bags and paint containers in the bikes during the checking.

Significantly, the bikers were of the opinion that the police would not search the bags and paint containers, but the dutiful police men were bent upon to search each and every possible thing where money could be hidden.

Finally, when so much cash was recovered from unsuspecting bikers, the police team was in a fix.

All six bikes seized

The bikers tried to defend their act of carrying the cash saying it was the sale proceeds of breads sold in Jamshedpur and other parts of the East Singhbhum district.
