Dhanbad, April 13: Sindri Gurudwara on Saturday celebrated the Baisakhi festival with the Sukhmani Sahib Jee recitation in the early morning.
The organizers said Baisakhi Parv is considered the start of the New Year for the Sikh community, and Guru Angad Dev Jee started its celebration.
The celebration in Gurudwara started at 5.30 am with Sukhmani Saheb Jee recitation and concluded with the recitation of Sri Guru Granth Saheb recitation. Sri Nishan Sahib Sewa Sardar Manjit Singh Utppal and his family performed the recitation.

On the occasion, women’s team of Barnpur (Bengal) performed ‘Kirtan’ in Gurudwara, attended by hundreds of Sikh and non-sikh devotees of Sindri, Jharia and other places.
Later in the day after Ardas, Guru Langar was organized in the Gurudwara for devotees.
In the Baishakhi celebration, Smrit Nagi, Lakhbeer Singh, Manmohan Singh, Onkar Singh, Kulbeer Singh, Gurucharan Singh, Jagdish Singh, Harinder Singh, Kulbeer Singh, Manjit Singh, Vikky Uttapal, Harbhajan Kaur, Jaspal Kaur, Rita Kaur, Rit Kaur, Rita Kaur, Gurpreet Kaur, Harjeet Kaur and others attended.
