Following the power breakdown down, the normal life of 50,000 Sindri Township people, including 8000 FCI quarters residents and official workers of banks, post offices, LIC branches, schools, and colleges has been completely paralyzed.
Transformer not maintained for 22 years
One of the victim residents said that the transformer was installed in the Fertilizer Corporation of India Limited (FCIL) regime and its maintenance has not been done for 22 years. Though HURL has come up in place FCIL, it has its power generation plant to cater for the requirement.
The JVBNL official said that work is in progress to resume supply from other sources as soon as possible.
