The dignitaries also planted saplings of about 20 indigenous plant species near the new hyena enclosure.

On the occasion, “Art in nature”, a painting competition for students of schools and colleges was also organised around this year’s theme of World Environment Day, “Land restoration, desertification and drought resilience.”

A total of 126 students from 11 schools took part in the competition.
