Ramgarh, Oct 14: Ramgarh Police have arrested a truck driver accused of raping and murdering a woman in the Bhadaninagar OP area. The accused, identified as Suvindra Yadav, a resident of Gaya district in Bihar, was arrested in Ranchi after extensive investigations and raids conducted across Jharkhand and Bihar.

Woman Raped and Strangled to Death in Bhadaninagar
According to police, the accused first raped the woman and then strangled her to death before fleeing the scene. After receiving information, police reached the location and sent the body to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination. The woman’s identity was initially unknown but was confirmed within a few hours.

Following the discovery of the crime, villagers protested by blocking the Ramgarh–Patratu main road for several hours. The roadblock was lifted after police and administrative officials assured them that the culprit would be caught and justice served.

Police Examined Over 200 CCTV Footages Across Jharkhand and Bihar
To track the accused, Ramgarh police teams reviewed around 200–250 CCTV footages from multiple areas, including Bhadaninagar, Patratu, Barkakana, Bhurkunda, Ramgarh, Kuju, Mandu, and Gola in Ramgarh district; Ormanjhi, Pithoria, Khalari, and Ranchi in Ranchi district; and Hazaribagh, Giddi, Urimari, Charhi, Chauparan, Barhi, Dobhi, Gaya, Sherghati, and Nawada in Bihar.

Based on technical surveillance, police first located the truck used in the crime and then arrested the accused driver, Suvindra Yadav, from Ranchi. Officers also seized clothes, slippers, a mobile phone, and the truck linked to the case.
Post-Mortem Confirms Rape and Murder
The post-mortem report confirmed that the woman was raped and strangled to death. Following this confirmation, the Ramgarh SP formed 15 special police teams to investigate the case across Jharkhand and Bihar. During the operation, police interrogated around 50 suspects before arresting Yadav in Ranchi.
