Dhanbad, Nov 2: The Dhanbad Postal Ballot Cell has identified 239 voters who will cast their votes from home via postal ballot in the upcoming assembly elections in the district.
Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer Madhvi Mishra announced that 16 polling parties have been formed to visit the homes of these voters for the postal voting process.
The list of 239 voters includes those aged 85 and older, as well as persons with disabilities (PWD) who will be voting from home.

The home voting process is set to begin on November 14 and will conclude on November 15, spanning two days. The assembly elections for six seats in the Dhanbad district are scheduled for the second phase on November 20.
“Two polling officers, along with one micro observer, have been deployed in each polling party to ensure that the home voting process is conducted smoothly,” said Deputy Commissioner Madhvi Mishra.
Additionally, sector magistrates have been assigned to closely monitor the home polling process in their respective areas to ensure it proceeds peacefully.
