Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University begins week-long session on peace, dialogue

THE JHARKHAND STORY NETWORK

 

Ranchi, Sept 29: Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University today commenced a week-long celebration in alignment with this year’s directives from the United Nations, and emphasized the need for peace, non-violence, and dialogue amidst growing international tensions.

Today’s event was hosted online by Dr Ruchi Gautam and coordinated by Yashwant Narayan. The event will continue until October 4 with various events at the University’s campus.

30 students participate in writing contest

The event kicked off today with over 30 students from various streams participating in an essay competition, and many more engaging in a slogan writing contest. The students’ enthusiasm was palpable and truly commendable.

The inaugural session was graced by Dr Hemendra Bhagat, Registrar of Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University, and Dr Sasi J., who delivered speeches on how ahimsa (non-violence) and dialogue can be powerful tools in any scenario. The judges for the event were Shivani Priyam Kumar and Dr Prakash Kumar.

Many exciting and enriching activities are planned throughout the week, culminating in a peace pledge by all faculties, staff, and students of Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University.
