Ramgarh, February 7: A Diabetic Care Centre was inaugurated today at The Hope Hospital located on Ranchi Road in the city in collaboration with Rotary Ramgarh Central.

It was formally inaugurated by Rotary District Magistrate SP Gadia and Rajan Gandotra by jointly lighting the lamp and cutting the ribbon.

In his address at the inauguration of the Care Centre, he said that Rotary Ramgarh Central has a different status in the social service field.

“In the health field, the organisation has set an example for Rotarians in the entire state by establishing a Diabetic Care Centre,” he added.

All social organisations need to take inspiration from the members of Rotary Ramgarh Central Diabetic Care.

He said that due to the provision of state-of-the-art machines for testing and protecting diabetic patients from side effects, the area’s patients will no longer need to go to Ranchi or elsewhere. He asked people to get regular checkups done to prevent complications of diabetes.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, special guest Rajan Gandotra, Shantidhara Foundation founder co-Rotarian Suresh P Agarwal, Jain Samaj President Manik Chand Jain, Dr Sharad Jain, Rotary Ramgarh Central President Vikas Bansal, Secretary Ankit Jain, former President Vivek Agarwal and many Rotarians gave information about the symptoms and prevention of diabetes among the people.

They said that the loss of eyesight of people due to diabetes is a symptom of kidney and heart-related diseases. Due to this, diabetic patients need to undergo regular checkups to stay healthy.

To prevent diabetes, they also advised people to eat a balanced diet and exercise regularly.

Addressing the function, eye specialist Dr Anup Kumar Sinha said that in the care centre of Rotary Ramgarh Central, eye examination, foot examination, vein examination, and other tests of diabetic patients will be done at subsidised rates from the market so that people can be protected from the physical side effects of diabetes.

Mukesh Agarwal conducted the stage in the function.

On occasion, Hope Hospital Director Deepak Jain, Chamber President Vinay Agarwal, PDG Sandeep Narang, Ajay Chhabra, Anil Singh, Subodh Pandey, Sangeeta Agarwal, Sangeeta Jain, Khushboo Bansal, Megha Bagadia, Vinita Agarwal, Dr Renu Sinha, Bobby Goyal, Shweta Jain. Many Rotarians, including Shweta Sinha, Arvind Goyal, Santubhai Manik, Govind Mewar, Vinay Agarwal, Balkrishna Jalan, Deepak Mangalam, Pankaj Bagadia, Santosh Tiwari, Anup Kumar Singh, Ramesh Bondia, Ravi Agarwal, Umesh Agarwal were present.
