Ranchi, March 11: BJP candidate Pradeep Verma and JMM alliance nominee Sarfaraz Ahmad are set to get elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha as the deadline for filing nominations ended on Monday.
The biennial elections are scheduled to be held on February 21.
The NDA and the JMM alliance have clear numbers for electing their candidates.
The scrutiny will be conducted on March 12, while the last date for withdrawal is March 14.
The two seats fell vacant in Jharkhand after Sameer Oraon (BJP) and Dheeraj Sahu (Congress) completed their tenure.
Harihara Mahapatra’s move remains a mystery
