Dhanbad, Jan 23: The Bengali Welfare Society, Hirapur Dhanbad today took out ‘Prabhat Pheri’ to mark the 127th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
The impressive Prabhat Pheri kick-started from JC Mallick Road-based Durga Mandir. Over 7,000 students of different schools of Coal City beating drums and traditional music, carrying posters and slogans of Netaji, crossing through Hirapur Hari Mandir, Gyan Mukherjee Road, Court quarters, Randhir Verma Chowk returned to the venue.

Dhanbad Sadar MLA Raj Sinha also joined in the Prabhat Pheri of school students.
The participating school children on the occasion resolved to follow the guidelines shown by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
On the occasion, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose related different sports, academic and cultural competitions were also organized to mark the 127th birth anniversary of the beloved freedom fighter of the nation.
Bengali Welfare Society secretary Gopal Bhattacharya said 1100 selected students of different schools were given prizes for their outstanding performance displayed on the occasion.
Atun Kumar Gupta and other members of the Society actively played in making the birth anniversary function successful.
