Ranchi, January 5: In view of the intensifying cold weather and cold wave conditions in Jharkhand, the state government has decided to close all schools from January 6 to January 8.

Classes Suspended from Pre-Nursery to Class 12

During this period, classes for students from pre-nursery and nursery to Class 12 will remain suspended. The order will apply to government schools, government-aided and unaided institutions, minority schools, and all private schools across the state.

Teachers to Attend Schools for Non-Academic Work

However, teachers and non-teaching staff of government schools will be required to report to schools and mark their attendance during these days. They will carry out non-academic duties during the closure period.

Decision on Pre-Board Exams Left to Authorities

If any school has pre-board examinations scheduled during this period, the concerned competent authority may decide their conduct at its discretion.
