Ramgarh, Feb 8: Govind P. Mewar, Chairperson of the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association, Jharkhand Chapter, announced that retail vehicle sales in the state witnessed a remarkable 16.91% growth in January 2025, reaching 46,792 units, compared to 40,025 units in January 2024.

At the state level, two-wheeler sales saw a 15.62% rise, with 35,449 units sold in January 2025. Three-wheeler sales increased by 7.72%, reaching 2,066 units, up from 1,918 units in January 2024. Commercial vehicle sales also saw an 11.07% rise, with 1,906 units sold compared to 1,716 units last year.

Passenger vehicles recorded the highest surge, growing 25.34%, with sales climbing to 6,282 units from 5,012 units in January 2024. Tractor sales also saw an impressive 51.67% growth, with 1,089 units sold compared to 718 units in the previous year.

Mewar attributed this significant growth to the launch of new models, increased demand for two-wheelers and personal vehicles during the wedding season, and economic growth in rural areas. He also highlighted that Jharkhand’s 16.91% sales increase surpassed national figures, indicating a strong automotive market in the state.

These figures underscore the robust performance of the automobile sector in Jharkhand, marking January 2025 as a standout month for vehicle sales.
