Jamshedpur, Feb 12: Jharkhand witnessed rising day temperatures under clear skies, while nights remained relatively cool across several districts, according to the latest bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ranchi.
No rainfall was recorded anywhere in the state during the past 24 hours.
Ranchi recorded a maximum temperature of 27.2°C, which is 1.2°C above normal, marking a slight 24-hour rise of 0.2°C. The minimum temperature in the capital settled at 10.8°C, 1.5°C below normal.

Jamshedpur was warmer, registering a maximum of 31.7°C (2.6°C above normal) and a minimum of 13.6°C (1.2°C below normal).
Daltonganj recorded 31.6°C (3.4°C above normal), while Bokaro Thermal registered 28.1°C (2.3°C above normal).
Chaibasa emerged as the hottest place in Jharkhand at 33.2°C, a significant 5°C above normal.

Cool Nights in Several Districts
The lowest minimum temperature in the state was recorded at Gumla at 8.1°C. Khunti also reported a low of 8.5°C, while Hazaribagh recorded 9.9°C and Lohardaga 9.5°C.

- Koderma: 27.7°C (max), 12.5°C (min)

- Hazaribagh: 27.2°C (max), 9.9°C (min)
- Khunti: 29.0°C (max), 8.5°C (min)
- Latehar: 22.3°C (max), 13.1°C (min)
- Lohardaga: 26.0°C (max), 9.5°C (min)
- Pakur: 29.3°C (max), 10.6°C (min)
- Seraikela: 32.7°C (max), 11.8°C (min)
- Simdega: 29.8°C (max), 10.8°C (min)
Dry Conditions Across Jharkhand
The IMD bulletin confirmed that rainfall activity remained nil in the last 24 hours.
The highest maximum temperature was recorded at Chaibasa (PTO) at 33.2°C, while Gumla AWS reported the lowest minimum temperature at 8.1°C.
The lowest visibility was observed at Jamshedpur (MO), where it dropped to 2,000 metres.
Overall, Jharkhand experienced dry weather conditions, with above-normal daytime temperatures in most districts and comparatively pleasant nights in several parts of the state.
