Ranchi, Jan 12: The 1st Ranchi District Ranking Badminton Championship will be held at the Thakur Viswanath Sahdeo Indoor Stadium, Mega Sports Complex, Hotwar, Ranchi, from January 17 to 19.

Providing this information, N.K. Dey, General Secretary of the Ranchi District Badminton Association (RDBA), stated that the three-day championship will feature events for boys and girls in the Under-9, Under-11, Under-13, Under-15, Under-17, and Under-19 categories, as well as men’s and women’s open events.

In addition, age-specific events will be held for men and women in the 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+, 70+, and 75+ age categories. Doubles events will also be organized for the Under-13, Under-15, Under-17, Under-19, and men’s and women’s open categories, as well as for men and women aged 35 and above. Mixed doubles events will also be included in the tournament.

“The last date for submitting entries for the tournament is January 14, and the deadline for withdrawing entries is January 15,” said N.K. Dey, who is also the organizing secretary.

All top-ranking players based in Ranchi and across Jharkhand are expected to participate in this prestigious ranking tournament.
