Dhanbad, Oct 29: Dhanbad is set to host two matches of the prestigious Cooch Behar Trophy at the beginning of the season next month.
Binay Kumar Singh, an executive member of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA), announced that Jharkhand will play its first match against Rajasthan from November 6 to 9, followed by a second match against Maharashtra from November 28 to December 1.
Both matches will take place at the Digwadih Stadium of Tata Steel’s Jharia Division. This will mark the return of the Cooch Behar Trophy to Dhanbad after two years.

In preparation for these matches, a working committee meeting was held by the Dhanbad Cricket Association (DCA) under the leadership of President Manoj Kumar. During the meeting, various office bearers were assigned responsibilities to ensure the successful hosting of both encounters.
The DCA had initially planned to kick off the new season on October 28; however, due to cyclone rains in the district, the start date has been postponed.
The meeting was attended by several notable members, including JSCA executive member Binay Kumar Singh, DCA President Manoj Kumar, Senior Vice-President Sadhvendra Singh, and other key officials such as Ravijit Singh Dang, Sanjiv Jha, Javed Khan, Secretary Uttam Biswas, Treasurer Lalit Jagnani, Assistant Treasurer Sunil Kumar, Assistant Secretary Dharmendra Kumar, Abhijit Ghosh, Ratnesh Kumar Singh, Rajan Sinha, Dr. Rajshedkhar, Sanjiv Rana, Sudhir Pandey, Jitendra Kumar Singh, Manish Kumar, and Mahesh Gorai, all of whom participated in the preparations for the upcoming matches.
