Dhanbad, May 1: The selection trials for the Dhanbad district senior and junior athletics teams, for the upcoming state championships, will be held at DAV Public School, Koylanagar, on May 10 and 11, starting at 7 AM.
Bandhan Toppo, General Secretary of the Dhanbad District Athletics Association (DDAA) and a former national athlete, announced that the last date to submit entries for the tournament is May 5. He said, “Participants must have an ID number from the Athletics Federation of India; otherwise, their entry forms will be rejected.”

Toppo further explained that athletes will be selected for both the senior and junior teams based on their performance in the trial, and those chosen will represent the district at the state championship later this month.
He also shared details of the upcoming state events: the Jharkhand State Senior Athletics Championship will take place in Hazaribagh on May 24-25, while the State Junior Athletics Championship will be held in Jamtara on May 31 and June 1.
