Ramgarh, February 7: To spread awareness about road safety and reiterate its commitment towards safety in the West Bokaro Division, Road Safety Month is being celebrated in the division from January 18 to February 17.
Keeping the ‘Road Safety Month’ in mind, various activities are being organised by the Safety Department of West Bokaro to sensitise the employees, the community, and school children.
After the launch of the campaign on January 18, the ‘Roko-Toko’ program was conducted at the junction points of various public roads of West Bokaro, as well as safety communication in the concerned departments of the division to sensitize the drivers.
In Kwari-SE, various safety and communication sessions were held. On the other hand, in Kwari-AB a dialogue on road accidents was held, during which the causes and prevention of road accidents were discussed. A safety quiz was also organised.

In this context, a session was organized by the West Bokaro Security Department in collaboration with TSF at the TSF Conference Room on January 20 for community participation to make the women of nearby villages aware of road safety during the Road Safety Campaign. to be done.
The importance of wearing a helmet while riding a two-wheeler was discussed in detail, and information was taken about the commitment of women. 28 women from nearby villages participated in the session.
An awareness session on road safety was organised at Shramik Vidya Niketan High School, West Bokaro, on February 3. Around 75 students participated in it. Students were made aware of the importance of helmets and seat belts. Data related to road accidents were also shared during the session. Student commitments taken at the end of the session
Various activities were organised at the Outbound Logistics Department (CB) of Tata Steel, West Bokaro.
The ‘Road Safety Month’ was successfully organised during the campaign on 18th January with the cooperation of Ghatotand police, security officials and the safety team.
Throughout the month, there will be events for the employees ranging from defensive driving to quiz on road safety, short film making competition and spreading awareness within the community through school children. Apart from this, active communication has been planned to educate the people and a Hazard Hunt program will also be organized for the contract employees.
