Jharkhand transfers 36 IAS officers in major bureaucratic reshuffle

Ranchi, May 23: The Jharkhand Government has transferred 36 IAS officers in a major administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening governance across key departments. The Department of Personnel issued an official notification announcing the transfers, fresh postings, and additional responsibilities assigned to several senior officers.

The reshuffle covers departments including Health, Finance, Information Technology, Agriculture, Rural Development, Tourism, Water Resources, and School Education. Several officers who were awaiting postings after the earlier transfer round have now been assigned new responsibilities.

Key Highlights of the IAS Transfers

Among the major changes, Chhavi Ranjan has been appointed as Director, Sports with additional charge of the Sports Authority, while Rajiv Ranjan has been made Special Secretary, Information Technology.

Vijay Kumar Gupta has been posted as In-charge Divisional Commissioner, North Chotanagpur, and Varun Ranjan will now serve as Managing Director, JEMCL.

The government has also made important district-level changes. Pashupati Nath Mishra has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner, Garhwa, while Saurabh Kumar Bhuwania has been transferred as Deputy Commissioner, Deoghar. Javed Hasan has been posted as the new Deputy Commissioner of Khunti.

Several officers awaiting posting have also been assigned new roles. Naman Priyesh Lakra has been appointed Director, Tourism, and Chandan Kumar has been made Chief Executive Officer, JAP-IT.
