Jamshedpur, April 15:  IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of dry weather in the state with a gradual rise in maximum temperature by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius in the next 72 hours.

The Regional Meteorological Centre at Alipore in Kolkata too predicted clear and dry weather in Jharkhand in the next few days till April 18.

Weathermen ruled out the possibility of rain in the next three days, at least.

“Jharkhand is expected to witness clear and dry weather in the next few days with a gradual rise in maximum temperature. We are expecting a three to four degree rise in maximum temperature in the next three days,” said a duty officer at the  Ranchi Meteorological Centre.

Today’s satellite pictures suggested that the east-west trough was running from the cyclonic circulation over northeast Rajasthan and neighbourhood to Gangetic West Bengal across south Uttar Pradesh, south Bihar and north Jharkhand at 0.9 km above the mean sea level.

“The maximum temperature which was fluctuating between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius in most parts of Jharkhand during the past 48 hours would witness a rise in the next three days”, said Met department officials in Ranchi.
