Jamshedpur, April 5: Several places in eastern Jharkhand will witness heat wave conditions today, said a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.
The day’s reading in eastern districts is likely to be more than three to four notches above normal.
The forecast further said that heat wave conditions are also likely to occur at isolated places over eastern parts of the state.
The forecast further suggested a 2 to 3° Celsius rise in the day’s reading during the next two days and thereafter fall in maximum temperature by 3-4 degrees Celsius in the subsequent two days.

The Met centre issued a forecast of thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty wind (max wind speed: 30-40 kmph) likely at isolated places over the state on Sunday, April 7.
On Monday, April 8 too thunderstorms and lightning accompanied with gusty wind (max wind speed: 30-40 kmph) likely at isolated places over south-eastern and central parts of the state is predicted.
Meanwhile, Met statistics suggested that several places across the state recorded 40 degrees Celsius and above during the past 24 hours.
