Jamshedpur, May 4: Heat wave conditions would prevail at isolated places of Seraikela-Kharsawan, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Pakur and Godda districts of Jharkhand today.
Jharkhand has been in the grip of severe heat with maximum temperature hovering between 40 and 43 degree Celsius for the past 24 hours.
According to the forecast, mainly clear sky and dry weather are expected to prevail in Jharkhand for the next two days with a rising trend in maximum temperature.

Weathermen at Ranchi Meteorological Centre said that heat wave conditions would prevail at a few places in West Singhbhum, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Jamtara, Deoghar, Dumka, Godda, Pakur and Sahibganj districts of the state tomorrow, May 5.
Respite from extreme heat is likely on Monday, May 6 as thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty wind (max wind speed: 40-50 kmph) are expected at isolated places over north-eastern parts of the state.
The forecast for Tuesday, May 7 too indicates thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty wind (max wind speed: 40-50 kmph) at isolated places over the state.
