Jamshedpur, Feb 4: The Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a dry weather forecast in Jharkhand today.
However, the forecast indicates rain, especially in northern Jharkhand, tomorrow. Weathermen today said no significant synoptic condition prevails over Jharkhand.
Western Disturbance
However, a Western Disturbance as a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 Km above mean sea level ran roughly along Long. 60°E to the North Lat. 32°N.
Weathermen said light rain was also expected in some parts of southern, central and northeastern Jharkhand on Tuesday, February 6.
Jet stream winds
Meanwhile, jet stream winds of the order upto 140 knots at 12.6 Km above mean sea level continued to prevail over North India today.
According to Met officials, the weather is transitioning due to the retreating winter. Days will gradually get warmer while nights will be cool.
The minimum temperature hovered between 10 and 14 degrees Celsius in most parts of Jharkhand today.
