Jamshedpur, February 11: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued an alert of thundershowers and lightning in isolated areas of Jharkhand in the next 72 – hours.
According to the forecast, thundershowers and lightning are likely to occur at isolated places over western and adjoining central parts of the state on Monday, February 12.
On Tuesday, February 13 thundershowers and lightning are likely to occur at isolated places over north-western, southern, and adjoining central parts of the state.
Thundershowers and lightning on Feb 14
The forecast on Wednesday, February 14, thundershowers and lightning are likely to occur at isolated places over the state’s northern, southern, and adjoining central parts.
The forecast further indicated light rain on Monday at isolated places over western and adjoining central parts of the state.
Light to moderate rain
Light to moderate rain is likely at a few places over north-western, southern and adjoining central parts of the state on Tuesday. Light to moderate rain is also likely on Wednesday at a few places over northern, southern and adjoining central parts of the state.
Weathermen also did not rule out the possibility of light to moderate rain at isolated places over the state on Thursday and Friday.
Meanwhile, today, no significant synoptic condition prevails over Jharkhand. Dry weather prevailed over the state during the past 24 hours. Cold wave conditions were also observed at isolated places over western and central parts of the state during the past 24 hours.
Maximum temperature
The highest maximum temperature of 27.4°C was recorded at Chaibasa, while the lowest minimum temperature of 6.1°C was recorded at Garhwa.
