Jamshedpur, Feb 5: Several isolated pockets in northern Jharkhand are expected to experience light rain today due to the impact of a Western Disturbance passing through northern parts of the country.
IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of light rain in isolated areas of Jharkhand for two days, Monday and Tuesday.
The Met Centre also issued an alert of dense fog in some places during the next 24 hours.

Jet stream winds of the order up to 130-140 knots at 12.6 km above mean sea level are prevailing over North India today.
The Western Disturbance as a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level was running roughly along Long. 69°E to the North Lat. 32°N.
The induced cyclonic circulation over southwest Rajasthan and adjoining Pakistan was today lying over northwest Rajasthan and adjoining Pakistan at 0.9 km above mean sea level.
The meteorological centre predicted a gradual rise in minimum temperature by 2-3°C in the next 2-3 days; thereafter no large change in the subsequent two days over the state.
