Jamshedpur, April 11: Several isolated areas in southern and central parts of Jharkhand are expected to experience light rain today, said a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.
Today’s satellite pictures showed a trough running from southeast Rajasthan to northeast Bangladesh across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal at 0.9 km above the mean sea level.
According to Met department officials, light rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places over southern and central parts of the state tomorrow too.
On Saturday light rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places over western parts of the state.

IMD also predicted light rain in southern Jharkhand on Sunday.
Thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty wind (max wind speed: 30-40 kmph) are also expected at isolated places over southern and central parts of the state today.
Cloud cover prevailed in southern and central Jharkhand today with most places notching day’s reading below the oppressive 40 degrees Celsius.
