Jamshedpur, March 29: The maximum temperature has touched 40 degrees Celsius in several parts of Jharkhand including Kolhan and Palamu regions.

Met statistics reveal that Jamshedpur recorded a maximum temperature of 40.4 degrees Celsius on Friday while Daltonganj recorded 40.5 degrees Celsius and Chaibasa in West Singhbhum district recorded 40 degrees.
The maximum temperature was hovering around 35.3 degrees Celsius in Ranchi and its adjoining areas while Bokaro Steel City recorded close to 40 degrees Celsius on Friday.

Weathermen at IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre said dry and clear weather would prevail in most parts of Jharkhand in the next few days.

Satellite pictures and weather chat analysis did not indicate any thunderstorm or lightning activity in the next few days.
However, weathermen said that the maximum temperature is expected to witness a slight fall in the next one or two days.
