Jamshedpur, Feb 11: Jharkhand is witnessing a steady rise in daytime temperature, even as early morning chill continues in several districts, according to the latest bulletin issued by the IMD Ranchi Meteorological Centre.
No rainfall was recorded anywhere in the state during the past 24 hours, and dry weather conditions are expected to continue for the next few days.
Maximum Temperature Above Normal in Several Districts
Data released by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) show that maximum temperatures in Jharkhand have climbed above normal levels in multiple districts.

- Chaibasa recorded the highest maximum temperature at 32.4°C, which is 4.2°C above normal.
- Bokaro followed with 30.1°C, a sharp departure of 4.3°C above normal.
- Daltonganj recorded 30.6°C (2.4°C above normal).
- Jamshedpur reported 30.4°C (1.3°C above normal).
- Ranchi recorded a maximum of 27.0°C, one degree above normal.
Automated Weather Stations (AWS) reflected a similar trend across the state:
- Seraikela: 32.0°C
- Baharagora (East Singhbhum): 30.5°C
- Simdega (Bano): 29.2°C
- Deoghar and Pakur: 28.5°C each
Minimum Temperature Below Seasonal Average
Despite warmer afternoons, minimum temperatures in Jharkhand remained below seasonal averages in many districts.
- Gumla recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 6.4°C.
- Daltonganj: 8.8°C
- Ranchi: 10.9°C
- Chaibasa: 11.6°C
- Jamshedpur: 12.6°C
Morning temperatures also dipped to 7.7°C in Khunti and 7.8°C in Lohardaga, reinforcing the pattern of cool nights and warm days.
Visibility and Ranchi City Update
The lowest visibility in the state was recorded in Jamshedpur at 2,000 metres.
In Ranchi city, Hinoo recorded a maximum temperature of 27.0°C and a minimum of 10.9°C.
Dry Weather to Continue in Jharkhand
Overall, Jharkhand is experiencing clear skies, dry weather and above-normal daytime temperatures, while mornings remain relatively cool.
With no precipitation activity reported, the IMD expects the current pattern of rising day temperature and dry conditions to persist over the next few days.
