Jamshedpur, Feb 1: Two bike-borne criminals shot at and injured a youth at Bhuiyandih under the Sitaramdera Thana area on Thursday evening.

Identified as Taklu Lohar, the victim has sustained more than one shot and has been shifted to Tata Main Hospital after his treatment for a brief period at the MGM Medical College Hospital (MGMMCH).
The condition of the gunshot victim is stated to be critical.

According to sources, Taklu Lohar who runs a motor garage near Sahu Hotel in Bhuiyandih has a criminal record.

At about 5.30 pm, when Taklu was busy mending a four-wheeler, two bike-borne criminals arrived at the scene. Soon one of the two who had got his face covered started firing at Taklu indiscriminately.

Some people who were around had even caught hold of the shooter but the latter somehow managed to set himself free before leaving the spot.
Soon after, the victim was rushed to the MGMMCH. The family members of the victim had reached the hospital and given his condition, they shifted him to the Tata Main Hospital for better treatment.
City SP, Mukesh Lunayat reached the crime scene and instructed the junior officers to investigate to trace out those who launched the gun-shot attack.
Significantly, the gunshot attack on the garage owner took place while the senior SP, Kaushal Kishore was out in the Sitaramdera Thana area.
