Rajdesh Ratan also informed that two months ago, he had written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah recommending Z-category protection for Jayram Mahto. However, no action has been taken so far.
He urged the governor to take suo moto cognizance of the matter and intervene promptly to prevent any untoward incident.
Z-category security typically involves deployment of around 55 security personnel, including 10-12 NSG commandos, Personal Security Officers (PSOs), and other police staff.
