Ranchi, July 14:  Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today made a scathing attack on the ruling JMM-Congress-RJD combine, saying the alliance government has fulfilled not one out of 461 promises it made in the run-up to the 2019 assembly elections.

Chouhan, the election in-charge, while speaking to reporters said the INDI alliance has spread lies and confusion among the people in Jharkhand.

“The JMM made 144 promises in the Nishchay Patra. The Congress made 317 promises. What has been fulfilled out of these, the government is completing 5 years?” he asked.

No unemployment allowance

Citing example, the union minister pointed out that the JMM, in its Nishchay Patra, had written- change the government, get rights. Tell me how many rights did Hemant give to the public? he asked.

“In the name of giving rights, they have cheated and deceived all sections. Today I want to question them on their Nishchay Patra itself. The BJP will do a complete post-mortem of this and will put everything before the public,” he asserted.

“Similarly, the JMM promised the youth that within two years of the formation of the government, lakhs of Jharkhandi youths would be appointed to various vacant government posts and in case of not getting a job, all unemployed graduates would be given an allowance for Rs 5000 and postgraduates will be given Rs 7000. Hemant ji should tell how many jobs were given and out of those who were not given jobs, how many youths were given unemployment allowance of Rs 5000 and Rs 7000,” he pointed out.

Sand is beyond the reach of the poor

Showing the news published in the newspaper, he said that there is such loot in Jharkhand that sand is beyond the reach of the poor. “This is the first state I have seen where sand is being sold in kilos,” he said.

Earlier, Chouhan addressed BJP officials and workers by participating in the Abhinandan cum Vijay Sankalp Sabha organised in the Khijri Assembly on Sunday.

Five questions for Hemant govt

Speaking on this occasion, he lobbed five questions to the Hemant Soren government.

His first question was related to the government’s failure to give unemployment allowances to youths.

The minister pointed out that the JMM-Congress government had promised women that women’s banks would be established in the entire state, and poor women will be able to take loans up to Rs 50,000 without guarantee by showing an Aadhaar card. “The Chief Minister should answer, where is the women’s bank and where loans are being given by showing an Aadhaar card,” he asked.

Chouhan also asked the chief minister to tell whether his government opened any Kisan Bank. He also pointed out that the government has failed to protect the rights of tribals and commoners.

People in six cities cheated

The minister also alleged that the chief minister had cheated the people of Palamu, Garhwa, Giridih, Chaibasa, Dumka and Deoghar. “These towns were promised to be made world-class cities with Rs 25,000 crores. The chief minister should answer why the people of these six cities were cheated. Leave aside 25 thousand crores, not even 100 crores were spent,” he pointed out.

Aadhar cards are being made for infiltrators

Attacking the Soren government, Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that, the ID and Aadhar cards of infiltrators are being made openly in Jharkhand.

“They are not concerned about the country; they are only concerned about their vote bank. In their hunger for votes, they are not even hesitating to destroy India. There is a loot of sand. Earlier, milk and ghee were sold in buckets but for the first time, sand is being sold in buckets in Jharkhand,” he said.

“At the same time, such cases are coming to light in Jharkhand, where infiltrators are marrying tribal women and becoming owners of their lands. These women are also contesting elections from reserved seats. This game will destroy and ruin Jharkhand,” he maintained.
