Ranchi, Jan 16: Veteran BJP leader and former Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker, Karia Munda, has been referred to AIIMS in New Delhi for advanced medical treatment.
Munda, a Padma Bhushan awardee, was earlier admitted to Medica Hospital in Ranchi due to a lung infection. A few days ago, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram visited Munda, and following the visit, the decision was made to transfer him to AIIMS via air ambulance for better care.
He also happens to be one of the trustees of the PM Cares Fund.
