Karnataka: ED raids Congress MLA Nanjegowda’s premises in money laundering investigation

Bengaluru, Jan 8: As part of a money laundering probe, the Enforcement Directorate raided the premises of Karnataka Congress MLA K Y Nanjegowda and a few of his affiliated entities on Monday morning, official sources stated.

In the Karnataka assembly, the 61-year-old lawmaker is the representative for the Malur constituency.

According to the sources, the searches are being conducted as part of a probe under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) on his premises and a few of his affiliated entities in the districts of Malur and Kolar.

The ED case is believed to have been initiated following the filing of FIRs by local police.

Additionally, Nanjegowda serves as the Kolar-Chikkaballapur Milk Union Ltd.’s president.
