Kolkata, August 18: Junior doctors across the country have been on strike for the past 10 days in protest against the alleged rape and murder of a female doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.

Junior doctors in West Bengal’s government hospitals are also demonstrating, demanding justice, and the protests continue today, Sunday. The doctors are calling for the swift punishment of the perpetrators and the public release of the victim’s autopsy report.

Due to the doctors’ strike, healthcare services have been disrupted for the 10th consecutive day in the state. However, senior doctors are still providing services in the emergency departments.
