Patna, March 19: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President Lalu Prasad Yadav appeared before Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials in Patna on Tuesday for questioning in the land-for-jobs scam case.

The ED officials interrogated him regarding the allegations that land was given in exchange for railway jobs. Lalu Yadav and his family are under investigation in connection with this case.
On Tuesday, the ED also questioned former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi and her son Tej Pratap for several hours, with the two being questioned separately in different rooms.

The fresh round of questioning follows the emergence of additional facts in the case, sources stated.
The ED’s investigation is based on a CBI complaint and centers on allegations that Lalu Prasad, while serving as Railway Minister in the UPA-1 government, facilitated corruption by trading land for jobs within the Indian Railways between 2004 and 2009.
The ED’s charge sheet filed last year names Rabri Devi, Misa Bharti, and Hema Yadav among the accused, alongside other individuals.
