Patna, July 24: The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), the student wing of the Congress, staged a massive protest in Bihar’s capital on Thursday, raising concerns over employment and youth-related issues.
The protesters marched towards the state assembly, but police stopped them by setting up barricades along the route, leading to heated arguments between demonstrators and security personnel.

The situation escalated as NSUI workers pushed and shoved the police and tried to break through the barricades. In response, the police resorted to lathicharge and used water cannons to disperse the crowd. The sudden crackdown triggered chaos at the spot, forcing many protesters to retreat.

During the demonstration, NSUI activists raised slogans against the state government, demanding job opportunities, an improved education system, and assurances for a secure future for the youth.

NSUI leaders accused the government of continuously ignoring the concerns of young people, which, they said, was leading to growing frustration. They warned that if the government fails to address these issues soon, the agitation will intensify further.
