Jamshedpur, Dec 1: Several places in north western Jharkhand are expected to witness light rain today due to the impact of a cyclonic circulation.
An induced cyclonic circulation lies over northwest Rajasthan and the neighbourhood extending up to 3.1 km above mean sea level.
The well-marked low pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea moved west-northwestwards and lay over Southeast Bay of Bengal.

It is likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into a depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal.
Continuing to move further west-northwestwards, it would intensify gradually into a cyclonic storm over the Southwest Bay of Bengal around December 3.
Thereafter, it would move northwestwards and reach North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts around early morning of December 4 as a cyclonic storm.
Weathermen also predicted shallow fog and mist in several pockets of Jharkhand in the next 48 hours.
