Jamshedpur, Sept 4: In a remarkable act of compassion, young Jasraj Singh from Home Pipe has donated his entire piggy bank savings of ₹6,413 to aid flood victims in Punjab.
Savings Redirected to Relief
Jasraj had spent the past year saving the amount, intending to present it as a birthday gift to his father, Charanjit Singh. However, after witnessing the devastation caused by floods in Punjab on social media, he chose instead to contribute the money towards relief efforts.
Contribution to CGPC
On Thursday, accompanied by his father, Jasraj visited the Central Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (CGPC) office in Sakchi, where he handed over the donation to CGPC President Bhagwan Singh.
“It is the duty of all of us to help Punjab and Punjabis overcome this calamity,” Jasraj said.

Praised for Inspiring Gesture
CGPC President Bhagwan Singh lauded the boy’s decision, describing it as a gesture that reflects great maturity.
“Such a noble spirit at such a young age is truly inspirational for society,” he said.

Among those present during the handover were CGPC President Sardar Shailendra Singh, Gurmeet Singh Tote, General Secretary Gurcharan Singh Billa, Amarjit Singh, Treasurer Gurnam Singh Bedi, Sukhwinder Singh Raju, Sukhdev Singh Bittu, Jaimal Singh, Harwinder Singh Mantu, Joginder Singh Jogi, and Naujwan Sabha President Amrik Singh.
