Opposition frustrated over results of state assembly polls: Pralhad Joshi

Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi mentioned that the suspension of members occurred due to their use of placards, and there was a consensus among all MPs that such behaviour would not be tolerated in the new Parliament building. He underscored that the opposition members had breached established rules and showed disrespect towards the Chair.

Taking aim at Congress and other opposition parties, he remarked that their discontent was stemming from the results of the recent state assembly polls.

In the Lok Sabha, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi stated, “It was decided not to bring placards inside the House. Due to desperation after losing recent elections, they are taking such steps. This is the reason we are bringing a proposal (to suspend MPs).”
