THE JHARKHAND STORY NETWORK
Jamshedpur, Sept 21: Creativity, innovation and experiential learning took centre stage at MAGNOVA 2026, the first school exhibition organised by Loyola School, Telco, where students from Classes III to XI showcased a wide range of academic projects, working models and technology-based innovations.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Fr Michael Thanaraj, Rector of Loyola Schools, as the Chief Guest, while Fr Vinod Fernandes, Principal of Loyola School, Bistupur, attended as the Guest of Honour.
Students turn classroom learning into innovation
Inspired by MAGIS, meaning “more”, and NOVA, symbolising something new and emerging, MAGNOVA provided students an opportunity to move beyond textbook learning and demonstrate the practical application of their knowledge.
Students presented projects and interactive exhibits across subjects including Indian Culture and Heritage, History, English Literature, Civics, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geography, Commerce, Economics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.
The exhibition highlighted how classroom concepts can be transformed into practical ideas through experimentation, research and teamwork.
AI, robotics and technology among major attractions
The Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics section emerged as one of the major attractions of the exhibition. Students displayed coding projects, web applications, Scratch and QBasic games, interactive activities, AI-powered applications, humanoid robots, face-recognition systems and voice-recognition chatbots.
The exhibits offered visitors a glimpse into how young learners are exploring emerging technologies and developing solutions with practical applications.
Behind the exhibits was extensive preparation involving research, designing, programming, experimentation and teamwork. The process also helped students strengthen creativity, communication, critical thinking, collaboration, presentation, research and problem-solving skills.
Parents and visitors encourage young innovators
The exhibition witnessed enthusiastic participation from thousands of parents and well-wishers, whose presence encouraged the participating students.
The successful organisation of MAGNOVA 2026 was supported by Principal Charanjeet Ohson, Vice Principals Reshma Rodrigues and Zeenat Maria Sundi, Moderator Colleen Xavier and Administrator Fr Gerry D’Souza, along with teachers and students.
MAGNOVA 2026 thus emerged as more than a conventional school exhibition, providing students with a platform to learn by doing and turn knowledge into creativity, curiosity into discovery and ideas into possibilities.
