THE JHARKHAND STORY NETWORK

Daltonganj, September 9: The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoP&NG) has reduced the inter-refill booking period for domestic LPG cylinders to 25 days for both urban and rural consumers.

Earlier, the inter-refill booking period was 25 days for urban consumers and 45 days for rural consumers. The revised timelines had been in effect since March 12, 2026, following the escalation of the Middle East conflict.

Single 25-day limit for all LPG consumers

With the latest decision, the ministry has introduced a uniform 25-day inter-refill booking period for domestic LPG consumers across rural and urban areas.

“A flat 25 days for both urban and rural domestic LPG consumers,” reads the letter issued by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

The ministry attributed the reduction in the inter-refill booking period to a “considerable ease of situation”, according to the letter.
