Man arrested for killing wife, three children in Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur

Bilaspur, Jan 2: A police official stated on Tuesday that a man in the Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh has been arrested for strangling his wife and their three minor children to death because he believed her wife was unfaithful.

Santosh Singh, the Superintendent of Police in Bilaspur, stated that an investigation has commenced into the event that happened on Monday in Hirri village, which is within the jurisdiction of Masturi police station.

The police official stated that the 34-year-old accused, identified as Umendra Kevat, has been arrested on charges of murder.

The children who were killed were a 2-year-old boy and two girls, ages 4 and 5, Bilaspur SP stated.
